The Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja this morning
dismissed the petition of Olusola Oke of the PDP against the re-election
of Gov. Olusegun Mimiko.
The joint application made by the Chief Olusola Oke and defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), now All Progressives Congress (APC) , Chief Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) candidates in Ondo state against Mimiko was also thrown out, as the Judge ruled that ACN is dead and should not be party to the case and concluded that APC is not the same as ACN.
Governor Mimiko of the Labour Party (LP) had won the election while Oke and Akeredolu are challenging the outcome of the election.
