THE Federal Government has embarked on a decisive move to stop frequent
demands and agitations for salary increase and its attendant industrial
actions by Nigerian workers.
To achieve this, the government, on Tuesday, began a move to develop a pay policy for the federal public service.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, and the chairman, Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, Chief R. O Egbule, hinted on the determination of the government to develop the policy on Tuesday, even as the SGF declared that the pay policy would save the country from incessant strikes.
