A thief (name unknown) who snatched a woman's handbag in
Ugbeyi, Sapele, Delta state while on his motorcycle was caught and given
the beatings of his life.
The woman did not immediately raise an alarm as nobody was passing by, but was lucky after a soldier who noticed what had happened, borrowed someone’s Hilux and took it upon him self to give the thief a hot chase.
The thief who ran out of luck was caught at a nearby bush after he approached a dead end in Shell road while trying to escape as some youths noticed his suspicious movement, and joined the chase.

angry youths descended on him and went on to dig a pit, threw him
inside it with the intention of burying him alive but for the timely
