Mum Spends £20,000 On Designer Clothes For Her 8-Year-Old Son

dude

He is only eight but this trendy kid is already a step ahead of most of us in the style stakes – with a £20,000 designer wardrobe.
Little Zak is covered from head to toe in top brands, including D&G, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Gucci and Prada.
The only child owns more than 200 pairs of shoes and even his swimming trunks are Armani.
Yesterday his mum Vicky Antonia, 31, said: “I know it must sound like I am spoiling him, but I just want him to look his best.
“What is wrong with making your son look good?
“He is lovely and if these clothes make him more popular at school I think it is money well spent.”
Glamour model Vicky, who is separated from Zak’s businessman dad, has so far spent £5,000 on her son’s shoes, £10,000 on clothes and another £5,000 on accessories.
Most parents spend around £11,000 on children’s clothing up to the age of 21, a recent LV poll found, but by the time Zak is an adult, Vicky will have spent more than £50,000 on him.
Her family have begged her to cut down on her spending, but Vicky, of Epping, Essex, believes it all stems from almost losing Zak when he was a baby.
He was born at 27 weeks and spent two months in intensive care with bacterial meningitis.
She said: “He is my wonder child and I don’t think it is a bad thing to want to treat your son.”

Toy Helicopter Triggers School Fire Sprinkler

Officials at a Virginia high school said students were soaked when a toy helicopter collided with a fire sprinkler.
Brenda Mayo, principal of Cosby High School in Midlothian, said the fire sprinkler in a classroom was triggered when it was struck Thursday morning by a toy helicopter, WTVR-TV, Richmond, Va., reported Monday.
“While Cosby had no fire issues and students were never in danger, students in that classroom were moved to other locations,” Mayo wrote. “With cleanup currently going on, we will retrieve and return belongings tomorrow for students in the affected classroom.”
Chesterfield Schools spokesman Shawn Smith said the Virginia Department of Education and the College Board were informed the incident caused Advanced Placement testing to be disrupted for some students.

Fleeing Islamic Boko Haram Terrorist Regroup In Adamawa Mountains

French soldiers in operation Serval in Mali
Hundreds of members of the militant Islamic sect, Boko Haram, who are fleeing military attacks in the border communities of Borno State, are regrouping in the mountainous forests of Adamawa State, a top Defence source told The PUNCH on Monday.
The source said that militants, who were dislodged from Sambisa Game Reserve and other camps in Borno, had sought refuge in the Adamawa forests, especially in the Zumo area of Song Local Government Area.
He also said that the sect members had been sighted in the forests of Maiha and Fufore local government areas of the state.
“Most of the Boko Haram members who are running away from the military operations in Borno are moving into Adamawa State. They are regrouping in Zumo area of Song Local Government Area. Some are in Fufore and Maha local government areas. This particular area has a combination of mountains, rocks and bushes that extend to Cameroon,” he said.
The sect members were said to have mingled with civilians while escaping from Borno to Adamawa State.
Adamawa has a complex topography comprising mountains, rocks and thick forests that extend into the nation’s border with Cameroon.
It is a mountainous land crossed by the large river valleys – Benue, Gongola and Yedsarem. The valleys of Cameroon, Mandara and Adamawa mountains form part of the landscape.
The source, who spoke with The PUNCH, on condition that he would not be named, said that the focus of the Defence authorities that are coordinating the fight against the militants would change in the next few days from Northern Borno to Adamawa State.
He further stated that the influx of suspected insurgents into Adamawa explained the decision of the Defence Headquarters to deploy additional 1,000 troops in the state in preparation for a similar military operation in the area.
The source said, “This might be the reason behind the decision of the Defence Headquarters to deploy additional 1,000 soldiers in the state.
“The attention of the Defence authorities and the Special Forces deployed to flush out suspected Islamic militants in the North- Eastern part of the country may shift from Borno where some of the earliest battles have been fought to Adamawa State.” [Punch]

Hungry woman bares breast at court premises in Lagos

Culled from Punch
In a desperate attempt to draw attention to her misfortune, Esther Odozi, 21, bared her breasts on Monday on the premises of Ikeja Magistrate’s Court as she protested against hunger that was “killing her and the five children” she left back home in Agbor Owanta, Delta State.
Odozi laid half-naked on a road in the court shouting, “Hunger, hunger. Government must do something today. I have not received anything from the plenty crude oil money government is spending in our state. Nigerians are wicked.”
She impeded movement on the premises. Passersby were astonished. One of them, who did not state her name but said she was a lawyer, told our correspondent that Odozi abused the “temple of womanhood.”
Odozi shunned passersby who shouted at her to cover herself as she rolled on the ground. She revealed wounds on her left leg and the right side of her hips; she said she was hit by a car. She refused a N500 given to her by a passerby, saying, “I don’t want your money. I want Fashola to give me N200, 000.”
When our correspondent approached her, she said, “After confronting serious hardship in my state, I was advised by an official of Human Rights Commission in Delta to go to Human Rights Commission in Abuja. I also went to Police Headquarters and NAPTIP (National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons) in Abuja. They all told me to go to Lagos; they said that is where I could get help.”
“My husband, Donald Ogbaja, was a retired policeman before he died of hunger. He married me when I was 17. I bore five children, including twins for him.”
Odozi said she tried to survive on her own by cultivating some crops. She, however, said she was hit by a car and had been hindered by her injury to continue working on her farm.
She said, “I will not leave this court without seeing N200,000 to start business. I want to sell melon and garri. Tell Emmanuel Uduaghan, the governor of my state, and the Federal Government to do something about my condition. They must give me part of the petrol money. I must take care of my five children.”
When she was asked that as a young woman, didn’t she feel ashamed to bare her breast? She answered, “I don’t have anything and I don’t have anything to hide anymore.”
